There are two options. You may choose only to authorize billing for additional hours or you may choose the UIUCnet Premier Service.
All University students and staff are allowed a free allotment of dial-up usage (twenty hours per week) on the CITES Terminal Server. If you have pre-authorized billing, you may continue to dial in after you have reached your free allotment. Each additional hour will be billed at $.30 per hour. TERMINAL SERVER USAGE BILLING for students is done through Illicall. Any student, no matter where you live, may sign up to authorize billing by visiting the Illicall Office. You may choose UIUCnet Premier to decrease the possibility of busy signals. The ratio of subscribers to modems is 5:1 while the general modem pool is 25:1. Premier subscribers also get an additional 5 hours before the $.30 per hour charge for additional hours. There is a $12 programming charge and a $5 monthly charge.
